Questions
How long does it take?
Usually under 20 minutes for a ten-minute match. Longer matches and very large files take longer — up to 35 minutes. You can close the tab; we'll email you when it's ready.
What do I need to upload?
A video of your match, filmed however you filmed it. Phone footage is what most people send and it works.
Do you add music?
No — your reel carries the original audio. Music you don't hold the rights to is what gets a post muted or taken down, and the point of a reel is that it stays up.
What's the watermark?
Free reels carry a small FinishReel mark. Any paid plan removes it.
What happens to my footage?
Your source video is deleted after 30 days on every plan. Finished reels are kept for as long as your plan says — 7 days on Free, up to a year on Academy. Your account area shows the exact date each reel expires.
What we do with your video has the detail.
Can I use footage someone else recorded?
Only if you have permission. You need to own the footage, or have permission from whoever does — both to upload it and to have it processed.
We do not verify ownership, and you are responsible for what you upload. Academies and promoters often hold the rights to matches filmed at their events, so footage from a competition is not automatically yours to use. Ask first.

What if the reel is wrong?
It happens — the detector is good, not perfect. Tell us and we will look at it. If it picked the wrong moments badly enough to be useless, we will not charge you a reel for it.
Do unused reels roll over?
Yes, up to twice your monthly allowance — 24 on Competitor. Beyond that they stop accruing: the cap is there so a plan can't be banked and abandoned. Free is a one-off 3 reels rather than an allowance, so there is nothing to roll over.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Unused rollover credits expire when you cancel; anything you bought outright doesn't.
I run an academy. Can my students use it?
Today an Academy plan is one account with your branding on every reel it produces. Individual student logins are something we'll build when enough academies ask for it.
Is there an app?
Not yet. The site works on a phone — that is where most matches get uploaded from — and an app follows.
